Yaser Martini on experiencing the death of his daughter Margot at the age of two and his fight for all of us to become blood, stem cell, and bone marrow donors.

Yaser leads the charity, Team Margot Foundation which was set up in memory of his daughter, Margot and to honour her legacy. Team Margot campaign for every individual who is eligible, particularly those of mixed heritage, to register as blood, organ, stem cell and bone marrow donors. Yaser qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1994 and his first career was with leisure & hospitality property specialists, Fleurets. Today, he runs a small family office, is co-founder of food business Miso Tasty and is the manager of eco designer, social enterpriser & award-winning BBC TV presenter, Jay Blades. Yaser is married to Vicki and is father to four boys. He was a regular O+ blood donor (until his heart disease diagnosis) and is a registered organ, stem cell and bone marrow donor. In this episode, Yaser discusses caring for a sick child, coping with her death, and the importance of taking care of oneself to be able to take care of others. Yaser has been incredibly generous sharing his story with us and we hope that other parents going through a similar experience will find this episode helpful. Enjoy the episode.
